At MSNBC, I am surprised that in all the discussions after the vice presidential debate, the panelists continue to emphatically pronounce Dick Cheney as a winner in the debate. I checked all the major news site polls, MSNBC.com, cnn.com, and even the markedly conservative foxnews.com web sites show an overwhelming majority of all viewers on all sides of the political fence believe Edwards was the clear winner.
I’m writing this, at msnbc.com Edwards wins with 68% of the responses voting for John Edwards as the vice presidential debate victor against Cheney’s 32%, with 623,752 responses.
At cnn.com Edwards has 78% of the votes over Cheney’s 18%, and 4% responding that the candidates are evenly matched, with 191,227 votes in.
At foxnews.com, Edwards’ receives 53% of 119,154 votes, with Cheney getting 46% of the votes. 1% indicated they did not watch, and less than one percent indicated "none of the above".
So much for the "liberal media" not choosing sides in political coverage.
